5.LV Tribute Patchwork Bag-$42,000 (No comments on this) If you can't say anything nice, dont say anything at all.

How to dress for ... city shopping

Paris too controlling for shoe deal?

PARIS Hilton won't be the face, or the feet, of Sydney model Jaime Wright's new shoe range because the heiress wanted too much creative control.Wright has just returned from talks in the United States, where she's been ensuring her Floating On Diamonds high heels are seen on all the right feet.

"I've got a few people, a few celebrities wearing them on the red carpet to get the label out there," she said.
"Sophie Monk has a pair, Nicole Richie is getting a pair after the baby is born.
"Paris is wearing them, she's going to wear them, she's just not going to be the face of them."

Wright's career was launched when Hilton crowned her Ms Bondi Blonde, picking her out of a crowd of bikini-clad hopefuls to become the face of the beer brand during a promotional visit to Sydney in January.
Speaking at the red carpet opening of a new Vivo cafe in Sydney today, Wright said Hilton would still be associated with the footwear until she developed her own range of shoes.
"We discussed her being the face," said Wright, wearing a pair of her own heels.

"She's always wanted to do a shoe range as well.

"We were talking about her coming on board with mine, having a little bit of creative control.
"For me she wanted a little too much creative control, so we just decided that she can do hers and I'll do mine, and she can wear mine until hers are done."

Wright is launching her "extremely high" heels in the US first, ahead of an Australian push next year.

Fall is all about glamour. Full on glamour. One trend has dominated this season's catwalks and red carpets: the Forties. Think figure-hugging, hourglass outfits, hair in smooth waves a la Veronica Lake and crimson screen-siren lipstick.

It is time for women to utilize what the fun part of being a woman is. While this is a hard look to pull off every single day and may undoubtedly get stale, the sexytary look is all woman.

Fall 2007 shows Cavalli nod to the retro forties. His runway set looked straight out of old Hollywood, and the clothes like something borrowed from the soigné wardrobe of a Clark Gable and Carole Lombard flick. Models sported slim safari jackets, swaggering furs with toggle closures, and jodhpurs (OK, jodhpurs aren’t the most flattering look invented) with crisp, mannish button-downs and matching ties. The Lombard part of the equation came in billowy dressing gowns in Liberty peacock prints, more structured forties-style dresses (a real Fall trend), and a great-looking silvery short fur over a demure satin dress that turned to reveal a thigh-high slit.

High maintenance glamour is all very well for models and celebrities with an army of stylists, hair and make-up experts to create the look, but could a mere mortal carry off a retro revamp for the party season?

The little black dress for your body type

Finding the perfect little black dress for yourself this holiday season should be a snap if you follow these simple guide lines.

Rule #1- Identify your body type. In order to get a little black dress that works for your body and your wardrobe, you have to understand what looks good on you -- a deceptively simple task.

Rule #2 - Identify your fabric. Go easy on the black dress made from matte jersey, make sure it fits, although that fabric is fluid and stretches for comfort (great for exercise pants), settle on a soft wool gabardine with a touch of Lycra that will hold its shape -- as well as yours.

For women with a more challenging body type, the best little black dress will be unstructured and of a fabric that does not drape (which means NO Lycra). The shape of this dress should be accented with individualized tailoring details, according to each woman's body shape.
