I admire really strong women and Hillary Clinton is one of the women I respect. I think she would probably make a better president than even her husband.
As a rule, I don't think it is important that political women be fashion mavens- somehow it seems to detract from their message.
However with Hillary, the fact that fashion does not seem to feature remotely on her radar seems to also detract a little from her message. Everyone talks about her pants suits - this woman has not changed her wardrobe for 30 years, can she really talk about change?
Anna Wintour (US Vogue editor) was surprised to hear that Hillary Clinton, the only US female presidential candidate, snubs Vogue. Wintour believes that the days of the powersuit are over and that today's women can show their feminine side and still stand on equal ground with the men. Hillary's team don't seem to agree.
Admittedly, Hillary's suits do not flatter her figure and she could benefit from a little bit more shape but can you begin to imagine what would happen if Hillary was showing cleavage and legs? Perhaps, Hillary's feminine side will shine through...the day after the election.
See what happened after she cried....Your opinion please.

THE NEW "IT" BAG? ...Foley and Corinna.
Foley + Corinna Handbags Glazed Mini City ToteI am a handbag lover and have never met an expensive handbag I did not fall in love with. I am in treatment. Naturally I fell in love with these handbags and bought myself one. Now I want this one in yellow.
Anna Corinna Black City Tote

For the eco conscious, here's an enviromental version. It is made from burlap and coffee bean sacks. This does not seem to reduce the price tag of $444 in any way. I did not know burlap sacks were that expensive. Supposedly, if you throw it away, it will be absorbed by the earth.

REMEMBER JUMPSUITS?? ...Theyr'e back!
Karen Zambos Vintage Couture V Neck Jumpsuit
Thanks to Jennifer Lopez and the denim "Frankie B" number she wore on her album cover (and her "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig), jumpsuits are now big news.
I have always been a fan of jumpsuits and everytime I suggested them in the store, I always get an 'scuse me??? These are not the jumpsuits of way back when, the new jumsuits are sexier and definitely more - according to the February issue of British Vogue, they are the "busy fashion lover's new best friend"The stretchy one-pieces have sprung back to life, Jumpsuits are poised to become a national epidemic. On the plus side, looser jumpsuits are, on the whole, flattering for real women with curves."
Basic dos and don'ts if you choose to embrace this trend.
DO
• Choose soft, loose fabrics that you can wear with a belt, heels and a chunky necklace.
• Go boho with a wide, ethnic print scarf, wide sash, bangles and chunky sandals or wedges.
• Wear hair loose, flowing and feminine, not tied back and boyish.
• Layer up. Unzip or unbutton a utilitarian style and wear a contrasting T-shirt underneath.
DON'T
• Try boxy, wide-leg styles if you are short or plump.
• Wear Doc Martens or trainers. Glamour is key.
• Go for playsuits unless your legs are up to scrutiny.
• Wear it skin-tight.
I am sure this piece of information is completely irelevant to the above topic but Bill Belew, the creator of Elvis' garments passed away on January 7th. Just thought you'd like to know. Read more

IN PRAISE OF OLDER WOMEN - CARMEN D. HOT AT 76!
I hope everyone is as fascinated and as interested in Carmen Dell'Orefice as I am. If you are not, here is an introduction to her.
writes Judy Rumbold of Telegraph uk...
"Carmen Dell'Orefice is routinely referred to as 'the world's oldest working model', which makes her sound a bit like a rusting traction engine with, perhaps, compromised bodywork and only limited functioning parts. It would be nice to be able to report that, at 76, this catwalk veteran is in flawless working order, but when I arrive to meet her things are not looking good. She is lying in silence on a sofa in a distant corner of the photographic studio, most of her face obscured behind sunglasses, barely moving and facing the wall. Everything about her body language says, 'Go away.'
It took an astute fellow bus passenger, all those years ago, to see potential beyond the ears and feet. Journeying back from a dance class in New York, she was spotted by a woman whose husband was a photographer for Harper's Bazaar. Test pictures were duly taken, after which a letter was sent to her mother. 'It said I was a very polite young lady but, unfortunately, at this time, I was totally unphotogenic,' she recalls. But her godfather was having none of it. He contacted a friend who worked for Vogue. 'Two weeks later, I did my first shoot for Horst.'
These days she lives in a New York flat stuffed with posters and pictures by Avedon and the rest, 'in the closets and under the bed'. Which are her favourite photographs? 'That's like asking someone to pick out their favourite child,' she answers. These were all 'fathers' to her, she says wistfully, remembering the support and comfort they provided when her own family life seemed so chaotic.

PETA DISRUPTS HONG KONG FASHION WEEK.
Two women from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an international animal welfare group, suddenly stood up in the middle of the seminar attended by 100 people from the fashion industry, chanting “Fur is Murder”.
They struggled to unfold banners reading “Fur Hurts” before being pinned down by security guards and dragged out of the room.
Once outside, the activists stripped off to reveal two banners - on their front and back - that read: “We'd rather go naked than wear fur” and “Turn your back on animal cruelty”.
Here’s what PETA Asia Pacific’s Rebecca Chui had to say about it:
“We want the Fashion Week attendees to know that fur means cruelty to animals. They suffer terrible pain from the time they are caught. Some of them are skinned alive. Some are killed by poisoning, gassing or anal or vaginal electrocution. We are in the 21st century and there is fur substitute now. There's no excuse to kill any more animals.”
Asked for comment on this statement, the Hong Kong Fur Federation called it “extremely regrettable”—by which I can only assume they meant “bad for business.”
TRIBUTE TO MARIA LAUTERBACH
In April of last year, Lauterbach reported to her commanding officers that Laurean had raped her. Officers issued a protective order and assigned Lauterbach and Laurean to work in different buildings. The protective order was renewed twice, in April and September. It was renewed again in January, but by then Maria was dead.
BOTOX - Coming to a Mall near you.
The stampede of doctors and entrepreneurs rushing to fill that demand has left some doctors and plastic-surgery trade groups wondering about the expertise of some of the people providing these services. For many Americans, price and convenience come first, with few questions about the experience and qualifications of the person injecting the treatments.
For its part, Sleek MedSpa says some of its outlets have on-site physicians while others have doctors as medical directors off-site, and nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants who handle day-to-day treatments. If there were an emergency a nurse couldn’t handle, the nurse would call 911, Mr. Rudnick said. He added that no such emergency had ever arisen.
Kim Wanderley, 39, a stay-at-home mom from Parkland, Fla., said she thought it was “great” when she spotted a Sleek MedSpa at the Town Center mall in Boca Raton in 2006. “If it had been in Ohio, people might have blinked twice, but this is South Florida,” where vanity rules, she said. “People do not take aging lightly, without a fight, here.”
While Sleek MedSpas lack the feng-shui ambience of a traditional beauty spa, they don’t exude the sterile atmosphere of a doctor’s office, either. The spa in Boca Raton is contemporary and sophisticated, Mrs. Wanderley said, with videos of cosmetic procedures streaming across a flat screen, skin-care products lining another wall and before-and-after picture brochures scattered around the waiting room.
And it’s convenient. “I can be in and out in a half-hour,” she said, and “it gives me an excuse to go to the mall afterward to do a little shopping.” If a procedure causes redness or bruising, the spa offers a convenient back-door exit to the parking lot.

NAUGHTY NIGHTIES - NICE NIGHTS!! Viewer discretion advised:).
In keeping with the theme of Valentines Day, I went ahead and researched the nicest, naughties sleepwear I could find. Nothing skanky, just really sexy and won't make you look like you are trying too hard.
I am a fan of sexy lingerie, not that I wear them everyday, my reallife is a far cry from my fantasy life. These are just great items to own especially when you do make time for that special getaway when the sweats just will not do!
Some of my favorite lines for lingerie are the aptly named In His Dreams , Mio Destino (Mio Destino Link,) figleaves.com - who carry so many lingerie lines, and the harder to find Italian cotton club, which I promise to track down and see if it is available in North America.
To view more naughtynighties/nice naughties go to our website (viewer by discretion is advised)
The nightgown below is from "in his dreams". Gorgeously safe, sexy and priced right at $65.
If this next item features in your or his fantasies, be sure to get it. If nothing, you'll have a blast modelling it. This is the modern courtesan's " do not disturb" maids dress. This item is from the famed British Company "Mio Destino" they feature lots of great Italian, French,Brazilian and English lingerie lines.
